Where Promise Flows

Eden City Government

The City of Eden is governed by a Council-Manager form of government which includes a Mayor and seven Council Members.  The Mayor and City Council serve for a term of four years.  The Mayor is the presiding officer and does not vote unless the vote is tied. In the absence or disability of the Mayor, the Mayor Pro Tem, (a Council Member) is selected from its members and peforms the Mayoral duties.  The Council sets and directs policies and the City Manager is the Chief Executive Officer of the City and is responsible for the execution of those policies.  Regular city elections are held on Tuesday after the first Monday in November every two years.

The Eden City Council meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m.  Council agendas are available on the city's website or copies may be picked up in the office of the City Clerk.  If you wish to speak at a City Council meeting, please sign up to speak when you arrive prior to the meeting.

Meetings are located in the Eden City Council Chambers, Eden City Hall, 308 E. Stadium Drive.
