 ADMINISTRATION - City Manager, City Clerk and City Attorney 

 

COLLECTION & DISTRIBUTION - DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES -  Maintains all water distribution lines, maintains all sewer collection lines, maintains all water meters in the distribution system, replaces old and under sized piping in the water and sewer system, responds to all sewer and water breaks and makes repairs, 24 hour on-call, assist in

snow removal and ice control within the City of Eden.  

 

ECONOMIC & TOURISM DEVELOPMENT -  Director of Economic & Tourism Development and Tourism & Events Coordinator.

 

ENGINEERING - Maintains various projects within the city including curb cuts, utility and excavations, easements, maps, roadway construction, sanitary and storm drainage improvements and street paving. 

 

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES - Oversees the direction of all the city's water/sewer lines, distribution systems and public utilities as well as the street division, solid waste division and the city's fleet division. 

 

FINANCE DEPARTMENT - Provides management of the City funds and investments; maintains the accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing & collection, claims, customer service, privilege licenses, purchasing, taxes and budget ordinance.

 

FIRE ADMINISTRATION - Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, and Fire Stations. 

 

FLEET MAINTENANCE - Maintains all city equipment; back hoes, motor graders, pumps, mowers, tractors, etc., maintains all city vehicles; cars, pickup trucks, dump trucks, fire trucks, etc., keeps service records on all equipment and vehicles. Maintains the fuel dispensing system for the city, assists in snow and ice removal.  

 

HUMAN RESOURCES - Answers questions concerning current job applications and also to assist employees with health insurance and retirement benefits and other employee concerns. 

 

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - Information Technology Manager

 

PARKS, RECREATION & FACILITIES MAINTENANCE - Oversees the city's Freedom Park, area athletics, senior citizen activities and community facility rentals. 

 

PLANNING & INSPECTIONS - Planning - Zoning - Inspections - Code Enforcement. 

 

POLICE DEPARTMENT - Police Chief, Deputy Police Chief, and Eden Police Department.
 

SOLID WASTE - DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES -

Oversees area garbage pickup, brush and debris pickup and recycling.

 

STREETS DEPARTMENT - DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES -

Maintains all streets; paving, pot hole patching, utility cuts patching, and cleaning, maintains all street right of ways; mowing and litter control. Maintains all storm sewer systems; catch basins, piping, and cleaning, maintains traffic controls; stop lights, street signs, and pavement markings, assists in snow removal and ice control, runs the leaf collection system. 

 

WASTEWATER TREATMENT -  DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES - Treatment of sewage and wastewater.

 

WATER FILTRATION - DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES -

Providing safe and dependable drinking water.
